Top of the CA range with greater amplification and a highly advanced 6-speaker sound system with transducers!

With the Grand feel III action that gives improved responsiveness, Ivory/ebony touch, authentic wooden soundboard, as well as an improved speaker system, this is another fantastic digital piano in the CA series! This piano can also connect to the latest PianoRemote and PiaBookPlayer app, has built-in lesson functions, recording and playback capabilities and spacial headphone sound technology.

What's new?

Kawai's multi-channel SK-EX Rendering sound engine has been used to create the sound of the brand new SK-EX Competition Grand piano and the Shigeru Kawai piano sample also uses new sample data. Real acoustic Bluetooth MIDID and Bluetooth Audio both have the latest V5 standards resulting in ultra-low latency. The placement of the pedals and music rest have also been improved. The touchscreen display is anti-glare and you can set the LCD display to turn off automatically whilst you play.

How does it compare with other pianos in the series?

This digital piano is at the top of the range within the Kawai CA series. The redesigned 6-speaker configuration includes a TwinDrive Soundboard speaker transducer system. The transducers project sound onto the piano's real soundboard, creating a richer acoustic-like tone. There is the top speaker with a diffuser just like with the CA701, but also an additional front speaker! This all amounts to greater amplification. You can enjoy playing with a 360 degree sound field surrounding the instrument. This is also a taller piano of 101cm.

What makes the sound samples so good?

Like the CA701, sound samples have been created using harmonic imaging, 88 key sampling as well as multi-channel 88 key rendering that captures the sound of a piano from different angles in great detail including string and damper resonance. This piano also has 256 note polyphony and 96 sounds including the Kawai EX Concert Grand, SK-5 Grand and K60 Upright Piano. Shigeru Kawai pianos can be found in concert halls across the world-so its fantastic to have this mellow and warm sound within this digital piano.

The Grand Feel III action

The counterweights beneath the keys work in the best way to reproduce the sound created by the exact force which you press the keys and the extended keys help when you play towards the back of the keys. The matte finish of the keys also helps avoid slipping.

Finishes

This piano is available in black polish, premium black satin, premium rosewood, premium white satin. The piano also includes is a soft fall lid.

Please be aware that the piano in black polish weighs 91.5kg which is slightly heavier than the weight of pianos with Satin Finishes.
